Construction Program Connecting Dislocated Workers with New Pathway to Employment

Workforce Development celebrated the first graduating class from their Building Industry Association Entry-level Construction Labor Training Program. Partnerships with San Bernardino Community College District EDCT, Operation New Hope, and the Building Industry Association made this remarkable construction training program possible. Participants received training in framing, plumbing, electrical work, drywall installation, blueprint reading, and deconstruction. Additionally, they completed coursework on OSHA Certification, construction math, power tool training, and industry-specific resume and job search assistance.
