Hiring Incentive Subsidy Programs
The Employer Services Team can help qualifying employers receive reimbursements for hiring eligible new employees. We can also assist training your current ones to upskill for promotion.
On-the-Job Training Programs (OJT)
On-the-Job Training allows a business to hire and train a new employee in the basic skills necessary to perform the job while working in the job. A business can receive up to 50% of the employee’s wages to help offset the cost of training and the loss of productivity.
To qualify:
- The position must be full time
- The new hire must be new to the company and registered with the Workforce Development Centers prior to employment
- Companies must pay into the California Unemployment Insurance Fund and be issued a California State Tax ID Number.
Employment Training Panel (ETP)
A state funded program that allows manufacturing, distribution, logistics and transportation companies to implement a customized training program to upgrade the skills of their workforce.
To qualify:
- Companies must pay into the California Unemployment Insurance Fund and be issued a California State Tax ID Number.
- Trainees must be full time (minimum of 35 hours per week) employees and on the job a minimum of 90 days prior to the start of training.
- Companies must be a manufacturing, distribution, logistics or transportation companies as determined by the issued Standard Industrial Code (SIC). However, other industries may be eligible if they face out-of-state competition.
- Training mandated by the State of California including sexual harassment and environment health and safety are ineligible under this program.
ETP is administered by partners of the Workforce Development Centers of Riverside County
